Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!
When I came across Jules Reid’s website, after one glance I realized her clothes were pure magic. I mean literally, LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Drawing her inspiration from people like Slim Aarons, Diana Vreeland, and Emilio Pucci, (I see a lot of Tory Burch influence here too) the designs are the perfect combination of vintage and modern. Every single piece of her collection has a 1960s Palm Beach glam feel that screams style, grace, and elegance. If that’s what your about, I’m sure you will love her collection as much as I do. And speaking of love, I hope you have a lovely day!
(PS-Fun Fact for all your fellow Kansans: Jules went to The University of Kansas!)
It was a windy day in Kansas City (excuse the hair), and we had some fun with the Flamingo statues from Dutch Flowers, and this awesome pom pom dress that is $20! (A note on the flamingos: I’m considering getting a couple for my garden to scare off all of the squirrels and bunnies)! But, back to this TWENTY DOLLAR pom pom dress…I am head over heels for this dress. It is such a comfortable dress, and the little pom pom details make it so sweet for summer as an easy coverup or an even easier outfit for a quick lunch! Obsessed.
With Memorial Day on the horizon, we wanted to take this opportunity to say, “Thank you,” and remember the men and women who have sacrificed everything for our freedom. Here is a tribute that was very powerful from last year.
Matt and I are proudly wearing our Stars and Stripes socks given to us by Living Royal. God Bless America, and we hope you have a wonderful weekend!

We spent the Derby Day at Char Bar eating brunch and then launching into full on Derby-mode. We started by playing a round of bocce ball. Then we went on to make “gentleman’s bets” on the horses (Irish War Cry let me down). Afterwards we took pictures with and pet the beautiful mare that they brought to Char Bar, meanwhile I had a total fangirl moment when Molly Balloons made me a balloon fascinator headband/hat in lieu of a proper Derby hat. We followed up Char Bar with some fantastic mint juleps at Julep *of course*…and after that, we were spent.
