Beauty Brands: Hair Cut + Conditioning

I just love Beauty Brands Salon. Julie takes care of me and my hair while I’m there, and I always leave refreshed and looking/feeling great!

Yesterday was my trunk show for my men’s clothing line, Stag Harbor. I knew I wanted to get my hair done, and I knew Julie would do a great job. I also needed a hair cut, because my hair was getting a little too long and it was taking me forever to blow dry it!

After my deep conditioning treatment (which was awesome and only took about 10 minutes), I asked Julie to cut 3 inches off my hair. It seemed dramatic, but it was much need and I was still able to put my hair up in a ponytail to hit the gym. Julie made it look phenomenal, and then she curled it up for my big evening ahead.

Y’all, if you’re looking to get your hair done for the Holidays, Holiday Parties, etc- you should go Beauty Brands. The people are so friendly, and there are only 5 chairs so the experience is really imitate and the conversations are discreet.

bareMinerals x Beauty Brands Event

The Event:

This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the launch of bareMinerals makeup line hitting the shelves at one-stop beauty destination, Beauty Brands! Upon arrival, my friend Nicole and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast bar and I was custom color matched by a makeup specialist. (Thank goodness I was, because the tinted moisturizer that I had been using was not the right color for my skin!)

The Makeover:

First she started out with bareMinerals Prime Time BB Primer Cream in Light, which smoothed out my skin and prepared it for additional makeup. (For quick jaunts the the grocery store or for au natural day makeup, I could easily wear this alone)! After she custom color matched me, she decided on bareMinerals Original Foundation in Ivory 06 she used that to even out any imperfections on my skin and even used it as a brightener under my eyes! After we were done with that, we moved on to eyes (the fun part!) She used the bareMineral Eye Primer on top of my lids to prepare for eyeshadow, and we were both impressed with how the shadow never creased on top of the primer. She finished off my look with the bareMineral Ready Eyeshadow Palette in The Posh Neutrals. #myBBlook

The Takeaway:

It was so fun getting a mini makeover, enjoying the company of other Kansas City Bloggers, and exploring all of the fun new products that bareMinerals & Beauty Brands have to offer! You should go to a Beauty Brand close to you or go online and check out all of the new bareMinerals makeup. Be sure to hashtag #myBBlook on your social media pages! (PS-did I mention there was a selfie wall? PPS-Now through June 16, 2017 receive a free 21-piece gift with any qualifying $35 purchase!)
